Jade Stone
(Yes that's my real name)
Well hey there! I'm Jade. A glance at my professional history would reveal I'm something of a startup addict. After three different startups, three unchartered roles, and habitually feeling like a headless chicken, it occurred to me there might be a more systematic and sustainable way of doing things. Which brings me to a M.S. in Organization Development
This blog aims to: 1) Aid my own retention; 2) Build a writing portfolio (cuz it sure seems you can't get anywhere these days without one); and 3) Spread the good news of OD! (And spare you the tuition payments)
In addition to being a source of OD frameworks and theories, there's a good chance you'll encounter a smattering of pop culture, references to Buddhism, and in all likelihood, an inspirational quote or two. I'm learning, and I hope you'll join in too! It took Odysseus 10 years to journey home to Ithaca. In all hopes it will only take me two years to graduate.
My background and primary interests are in Education, STEAM, community development, social and civic services, health & wellness, and global development. When I'm not sponging up everything about OD, you can find me swing dancing, traveling, striking up conversations with strangers, urban harvesting, and composing the occasional musical parody (including this video for the Exploratorium).

I welcome curiosity, comments, constructive feedback, relevant analogies, and any OD humor you care to share
